Written by Roy Lumbe

Residents of Kiambereria are set to benefit from the newly drilled Kiambereria Water Project in Turi Ward by the County Government of Nakuru.

The project located in Gachora Village is set to benefit 1,200 and is in line with Governor Susan Kihika’s flagship projects on access to safe and clean water.

The second phase set to begin include the installation of water lines and equipping for distribution to residents in the area.

Residents interviewed heaped praises to Governor Susan Kihika saying the water project was the first in the area since independence.

John Muiruri, a resident, thanked Governor Kihika for the project saying since independence they have never had water.

He said they plan to conduct irrigation and also ease women’s burden of fetching water on rivers.

On her part, Milkah Matheri said water was scarce in the area but they will now benefit from the projects.
